The allergy test
Patients do NOT need to stop taking medications or flush their system to be tested. With our simple 2-minute finger prick test, you can test anyone at point-of-care at any time. We train your staff to collect and ship samples, pull and send patient reports, order test kits, and place allergy immunotherapy orders in the lab portal. Your team will have support and direct access to the entire Bird Dog Pharma Team.

The technology
NanoSpot™ is the first in-vitro multiplex test allowing simultaneous measurement of total IgE (tIgE), specific IgE (sIgE) of 165 extracts, and specific IgE (sIgE) of 135 molecular allergens. Based on our test panel composition of 295 allergen extracts and molecular allergens, a nearly complete picture of each patient’s sensitization is obtained.
Each patient sample runs simultaneously in triplicate, with positive and negative controls, for unsurpassed precision and accuracy. The dramatic test redundancy of the microarray platform enables high sensitivity and specificity values that are >96%. Our easy-to-read patient report offers integrated result interpretation guidance for each positive allergen and can be easily generated in 24 different languages.
Immunotherapy treatment options
Allergy immunotherapy is a disease-modifying treatment that desensitizes the body to allergens. It is the only proven medical treatment that strengthens the immune system to provide long-term relief and prevent the progression of new allergies and asthma.
Immunotherapy is only used to treat environmental allergies, not food allergies. The best option for food allergies is patient education and avoidance.
If you are currently testing your patients in-house and looking to partner, or outsource, on the immunotherapy side, we are open to this arrangement. Contact us today to learn more about our easy and efficient online ordering process.

Subcutaneous Immunotherapy (allergy shots)
- Not recommended for at-home use
- Require weekly injections in the clinic
- Patient should wait 15 min before leaving
- Clinic bills for the injections (95117)
- Additional $400 in annual revenue per patient
Sublingual Immunotherapy (allergy drops)
- Titrated for safe, at-home use
- 3 drops taken under the tongue, daily
- First dose should be given in the clinic
- Safest option for children
- No additional revenue for the practice
Insurance billing
We bill every allergy test and allergy immunotherapy order in-network under our Tax ID and insurance contracts. We never bill anything under your Tax ID or insurance contracts. We simply add your individual NPI to our billing platform as a Referring Physician.
Your patients will have direct access to our billing team should they have any questions about billing or EOBs. It’s usually an EOB from their insurance company that they think is a bill from us. We handle it!
Patients lacking “specialist benefits” will appreciate having direct access to quality allergy services under your care, their PCP. An Allergist is considered a specialist so the care would not be covered resulting in substantial out-of-pocket expenses. Some commercial insurance plans consider Allergy Services “preventive” so the patient deductible is waived.
We have over 75 in-network insurance contracts but here are a few of the major ones:

- AARP
- CIGNA PPO
- MERITAIN
- AETNA PPO
- HUMANA PPO
- MULTIPLAN
- AMERIGROUP
- HUMANA MILITARY
- UHC PPO
- BCBS PPO
- INTEGRANET
- UMR
- BOON CHAPMAN
- MEDICAID (TRADITIONAL)
- WELLMED
- CHOICE PLUS
- MEDICARE & REPLACEMENTS
Are you referring your patients out?
The average wait time to see an Allergist is 1.5 – 2 months for new patients
You lose continuity of care and patient retention
Your patients know and trust you and have easier access to care with you
Patients are 3x more compliant with our PCP-driven model vs going to an Allergist
Start treating your patients in-house, with no wait time
Our physician partners report an average increase of 12-15% in their gross monthly revenue
